TALK and Q&A with DUNCAN BROOKES
of Bush Search and Rescue Victoria
Duncan Brookes has been involved in searches for people lost in the bush and snow for over 50 years. He is a member of the volunteer emergency service Bush Search and Rescue Victoria.
He will explain who is responsible for bush and snow searches for lost people, how a search is coordinated, what resources and techniques are used, and who does the searching.
Duncan received the Emergency Services Medal in 2015.
Now retired, he taught at Sunshine West, Footscray Girls, Niddrie and Buckley Park High Schools.
